NOTICE OF MOTION Councillor Hugh Evans put forward the following Notice of Motion for the consideration of Full Council: “Denbighshire County Council is concerned about the prospect of a Local Government Review because it could undermine service provision to its residents, affect staff morale and end up costing more to implement than it saves. Nevertheless, the council recognises that in the light of recent comments from the First Minister and members of the Public Services Commission a Local Government reorganisation appears inevitable. If there is to be a reorganisation of Local Government in North Wales then the Council would advocate a three Council solution as the most appropriate for residents in the region. The Council also calls on the Welsh Government to ensure that the political representation of North Wales is not reduced”. |
