Purpose:

To overrule objections to the Denbighshire County Council (Various Roads) (30 mph Speed Limits) Order 2023. This is the Traffic Order that contains exceptions to the default 20 mph speed limit. Exceptions are those roads that will remain at 30 mph, and the Traffic Order is required to set their speed limits at 30 mph.

Reasons for the decision:

In accordance with The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 and the Denbighshire County Council Constitution. Formal objections to a proposed Traffic Regulation Order can only be overruled via the Lead Member Delegated Decision process. Only once those objections are overruled can the Traffic Regulation Order be made and come into force.
