APPOINTMENTS TO THE NORTH WALES FIRE AND RESCUE AUTHORITY

Purpose:
To confirm
the nominations made by the political groups of 4 members of Denbighshire
County Council to the North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority.
Decision:
(i) The appointment of Councillor Gareth Sandilands to the North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority with immediate effect; and
(ii) Confirmation that the term of this appointment is for the term of the current council unless a replacement appointment is made.
Reasons for the decision:
The North
Wales Fire and Rescue Authority has requested appointments to the Fire
Authority with Denbighshire having 4 seats. Three appointments were made in
June (see the report and decision for the 21 June 2022). This appointment is
the second of the Labour Group’s appointments.
